Artist's comments: “Lincoln, a striking hound from The York & Ainsty North, who I have painted many times, was my model for this pastel print. he always seemed to catch my eye, even when I wasn't looking for him. Handsome as he was his picture sat in my studio unfinished for six months because I wasn’t sure it was working. That was until my partner fell in love with it. It didn’t take him quite so long to convince me to finish it!”
